Abstract/Summary

A summary of the results of the archaeological assessment of eight proposed working areas associated with the Wellsite G to Gathering Station flowline. The Trust for Wessex Archaeology was commissioned to carry out the work by BP Petroleum Development Ltd, to target areas identified during an earlier assessment of the route. Work consisted of geophysical survey supplemented by trial pits. Potential for survival of extensive below-ground archaeology was in general deemed to be low, with the exception of areas within or adjacent to previously-recognised archaeological sites.
