Abstract/Summary
A watching brief was conducted on 27 July 1998 during groundworks for the construction of semi-detached cottages at Dorset House, Ring Street, Stalbridge, Dorset (NGR ST 7362 1779). One early modern, one modern and one undated linear were observed but nothing of a definitely earlier date was noted. The natural geology was a mixture of Cornbrash and Kellaways formation. The site lies at a height of approximately 80m OD.
