Abstract/Summary
Two additional evaluation trenches (trenches 6 and 7) were excavated in Area B of the proposed gravel quarry adjacent to Henbury Pit, Sturminster Marshall, Dorset, at the request of the County Archaeological Officer. A single linear ditch in trench 6 contained a fragment of burnt flint and a possible mesolithic flint core. Two possible features in trench 7 were not excavated, but were consistant with Prehistoric features previously investigated in the area. Two other linear soil anomalies were sample-excavated and deemed to be of natural origin.
