Abstract/Summary
In February 2010, Archaeological Solutions Ltd (AS) carried out a programme of detailed archaeological monitoring and recording at Blandford Camp, Dorset. The monitoring was commissioned by AECOM Design Build Ltd and was undertaken during groundworks asociated with the installation of a new EWS tank.
The site lies within an area of significant prehistoric activity and funerary monument building; with Bronze Age round barrows and bowl barrows and earlier Neolithic long barrows identified within the local landscape surrounding the camp.
In the event no archaeological features or finds were present within the area monitored.
