Abstract/Summary
‘Terrain Archaeology carried out an archaeological watching brief during remedial work to reinstate part of the outer rampart on the northern side of Maiden Castle, near Dorchester, Dorset (centred on SY67108860), following badger damage. The tunnels and chambers of the badger sett were partially excavated by hand and by machine, exposing part of the chalk rubble of the rampart.
