Abstract/Summary
‘An archaeological evaluation of a proposed development site on land adjacent to 32 East Street, Wareham, Dorset (SY 928 874), was carried out by AC archaeology during July 2008. It comprised a single trench positioned within the footprint of the proposed development. Evidence for archaeological activity was encountered below deep soils and comprised a single deposit, medieval in origin and possibly relating to industrial activity on or near the site. A quantity of 11th/12th century pottery was recovered from this material. No other archaeological activity was present in the trench.’
