Date/Year | 2016 |
Abstract/Summary
A geophysical survey was carried out at a location identified from aerial photographs as being of archaeological interest. The site was to be affected by the building of a footpath and fenceline. The work comprised a topographical survey, a resistivity survey and a gradiometer survey. Trial trenching then took place. Various linear features and a ditch were revealed as well as evidence of ridge and furrow ploughing. The features were undated but likely to be for stock holding.
