Abstract/Summary
A programme of archaeological evaluation in the form of a trial trench evaluation was carried out following a geophysical survey which had identified features of archaeological potential. The evaluation revealed one pit of Neolithic to Bronze Age date and a series of larger pits likely to be medieval cess or rubbish pits. There were also the remains of a red brick and flint wall, probably a property boundary and evidence of demolition activity suggesting the remains of a dwelling. A number of made ground deposits may have represented a post medieval or modern period of ground levelling.
