Abstract/Summary
Excavation in 2019 which revealed episodic use of the site from the mesolithic period to the 14th century AD. The main focus of fieldwork was on a series of medieval boundary ditches, gullies, pits and spreads of material related to agricultural activity. This medieval activity expanded in the 11th century, and redefinition and reorganization of the field system continued until the 13th or 14th century. After the medieval period use of the site was represented by rectilinear enclosed fields and an orchard possibly associated with nearby Bay Farm.
