Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief, carried out during improvements to the Top O’Town car park, Dorchester, was undertaken by AC archaeology during the summer of 2003.
The work revealed that modern overburden to the site was present to a depth of at least 0.6m, and in no area were pre-modern intact soil profiles or features revealed. Small quantities of residual prehistoric and Romano-British finds were, however, recovered.
