2. Mid C18. Colour washed brick. Hipped slate roof. 3 storeys. Modillion eaves cornice. 5 ranges of sashes. Inserted shop front. From 1780 Matthew Anstis had his "Academy" here; hence the cottages to the rear are called Education Place.
