Description

An archaeological evaluation in an area of slight earthwork terraces undertaken during July 1992 comprised three machine-dug trenches which revealed shallow soil overlying natural clay. Field boundaries of medieval or post-medieval date and recent land drains were revealed, but no other subsoil features of archaeological origin were revealed. A relic hedgerow and negative lynchet were recorded.
