Description
Two site visits following excavation of three small test pits, one inside and two outside the house to examine the condition of existing footings, and a larger pit to determine underlying geology. Test Pit I measured 0.60m by 0.76m, Test Pit II measured 1.2 sq m, reduced to 0.60 sq m at base, and Test Pit III measured 1.9m by 1.3m. Pit III was excavated by hand. No archaeological features were observed. Deep accumulations of dark earth were seen.
