Description

Three trenches were excavated in an area proposed for new development. No significant archaeological features or deposits were encountered. A stone rubble spread in Trench 3 was identified as the remains of the boundary of a small close shown on the 1841 Tithe Map. A relatively recent pit containing a cow burial was encountered.
