‘(10) ‘ROYAL OAK’, public house, at the S.W. corner of the cross roads, of two storeys and attics, is of the early 19th century. It is built of brick, the N. and E. sides being in blue headers with red dressings; the roofs are tiled. The N. side has a central doorway flanked by two three-light windows, three similar windows on the first floor and three dormer windows with hipped roofs.’
