Listed Building record MDO17116 - The Royal Oak Inn (and attached stables to S), Bere Regis

A public house built in the early nineteenth century, with later alterations. The building has walls partly of brick covered in roughcast and partly of red and blue brick, and a tiled roof. A single-storey former stable range is at the back of the building.

‘(10) ‘ROYAL OAK’, public house, at the S.W. corner of the cross roads, of two storeys and attics, is of the early 19th century. It is built of brick, the N. and E. sides being in blue headers with red dressings; the roofs are tiled. The N. side has a central doorway flanked by two three-light windows, three similar windows on the first floor and three dormer windows with hipped roofs.’
