A small bare earth site located in the area of a Second World War gun emplacement is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 to the east of Manor Road, Studland. The earthworks consist of a group of pits or possible fox holes seen over an area measuring 8 m by 10 m. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
