Summary

The site of Bronze Age round barrow is visible as a plough-levelled mound on aerial photographs . It lies to the south of the southern henge of Knowlton Circles and is one of the extensive Knowlton Circles Barrow Group. The barrow is 18.5m across; it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP.

Full Description

SU 0243 0941. A Bronze Age round barrow at the edge of the southern part of the Knowlton Circles Barrow Group is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs <1> and has been mapped by EH's Knowlton Circles Project. The barrow appears as a plough levelled mound 22.5m in diameter.

The barrow is 18.5m across; it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Stour NMP. It lies immediately to the northeast of MDO6468.
