Abstract/Summary
A summary of the results of an archaeological assessment of a small strip of land near the Norden roundabout. The Trust for Wessex Archaeology was commissioned to carry out the work by BP Petroleum Devleopment Ltd.
The work consisted of geophysical survey supplemented by the excavation of trial pits on anomalies. No archaeological features or deposits were encountered in the trial pits. The author concluded that the site lay beyond the limit of intense activity associated with the known Romano-British site at Norden.
